Animating the World for
International Animation Day
Roles: Project Management, Storyboarding, Layout, 2D Puppet Animation
As one of the biggest international organizations that celebrate the art of animation, ASIFA is gearing up for it's 60th Anniversary. We've been tasked to create and execute a 2D animated sequence promoting "progress towards peace and mutual understanding between all people." The sequence was completed in a 3-week period in a 3-man team as volunteers for ASIFA-South Chapter, headquartered in Atlanta, in collaboration with ASIFA-South's marketing department.
The video, was aired along with the films from chapters all over the world on October 28th, 2020 which coincides with International Animation Day.

Art Direction
With entries for this event coming in from several ASIFA Chapters across the glob, we wanted ours to represent a vision that uniquely represents ASIFA-South. We opted to follow closely the bold, and modern branding guide that was prepared by the marketing team which anchored the animation to the rest of the content the organization publishes.
This minimal style was also strategically chosen due the short time frame we had to accomplish the task. We were able to move on to animation end editing after a quick turn-around on pre-production.
